Michele Bell Figueroa has been a recognized member of the wellness community for over 20 years. She has worked with exclusive health clubs, clinical offices, wellness centers and day spas across the country and has held executive management positions overseeing nearly 70 centers at a time. As an industry consultant, she has developed customized wellness integration programs that have been implemented in centers from coast-to-coast and has seen, first hand, the continuing challenges that most people face establishing and maintaining a consistent program.
In addition to her professional consulting career, Michele is a certified Life Coach with a concentration on wellness advising and behavior modification. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor and graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC with a focus on whole food nutrition. This education awarded her recognition by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
Michele speaks nationally and has written for Prevention.com, Nutrition Business Journal, Club Success and numerous other industry-specific publications. She was also a contributing writer for the Pregnancy Companion iPhone application in the areas of whole food nutrition and natural symptom management. Her private clientele consists of all ages and health-related goals.
As a former, professionally trained dancer, avid fitness enthusiast and active participant in the wellness community, Michele brings a natural passion to staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. Her professional experience and diverse education has led her to a deep understanding of what clients need to be successfully integrated into a total wellness program. Josué Figueroa has been in the athletic, fitness and wellness community for over 18 years. As a young athlete, Josué excelled in a variety of sports including track and field, boxing and basketball.
His love for sports led him to pursue an education in wellness and his studies have earned him some of the highest certifications in the industry. Josué is a Certified Sports and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also a certified fitness trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). In addition, he became a flexibility technician focusing on Active Isolated stretching techniques.
In 2005, Josué completed his coursework and became recognized as a New York state licensed massage therapist (LMT), granted through the world-renowned Swedish Institute of NY. He has since become licensed in the state of California. His studies included a focus on both Western and Eastern modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, unwinding, Shiatsu and Thai.
Josué has worked with industry leaders on both coasts including New York Sports Clubs, Reebok Sports Club/NY, Pacific Athletic Club, Paul LaBreque Salon, Sen Spa, and Axis Performance Centers. His private clientele includes an impressive list of top executives and athletes.
He was chosen to provide pre and post-game massage for the U.S. Open from 2005 to 2009 and received a commendation from the U.S. Tennis Association’s senior trainer.
Josué’s unique skill set affords his clients the opportunity to work with a professional who has a diverse background in both fitness and body work. He shares his passion for movement and teaches body awareness along with the importance of integrating a variety of health & fitness modalities. Josué has a contagious love for life and works comfortably with all ages and fitness levels from the novice to the professional athlete.
